Many of our houses and apartments suit groups of 2 to 7 people. The lease is for the whole unit, so the group takes every bedroom together. Some units have only some rooms open, and singles or small groups are welcome to apply for those.
The steps
Pick a place that fits your group
Browse by size: 4-bedroom, 5–6 bedroom or all rentals. Each listing shows rent per person, what’s included, and whether it is available for May 2027–28.One person applies for everyone
On the listing, tap “Apply as a group”, give your group size and tick the box saying your group will fill every room. One person is enough for this step.Book a viewing
We text you a day and time to see the place.Everyone fills in a short application
After the viewing, each person completes a short application. We use the same written criteria for every applicant (for example ability to pay and references). We never ask for your SIN.Each person signs the lease
Each person gets their own link to review and sign the lease online, and everyone gets a copy. Please read the whole lease and ask about anything you don’t understand.Pay your deposit
The security deposit is half of one month’s rent per person, the most Nova Scotia allows. It is held in trust under the Residential Tenancies Act.
Rent and deposit, in numbers
- Rent is per person per month. Whole unit = per-person rent × number of bedrooms.
- Deposit is half a month’s rent per person. At $850 per person that is $425 each.
- Lease dates for 2027–28: May 1, 2027 to April 30, 2028.
Tips for groups
- Start in the fall or winter before you want to move in. Most Wolfville student leases start on May 1 or September 1.
- Agree as a group on the street and the budget first. Check approximate walking times to Acadia.
- Heat and electricity vary by unit, and tenants arrange their own internet. See the moving and winter guide.
- On move-in day, take photos of every room, and get renter’s insurance for your own things.
